DE ZON ACHTERNA
Onderweg naar de Oostkust, de zon achterna! Eerst nog even gestopt bij een buffelmozzarella farm. Buffels bewonderd, Roel wat lekkere dingetjes gekocht en er was een uitgebreide speeltuin voor de kids. Top!
Rubberluchtje..
We merkten het al keer eerder maar nu moest de camper aardig klimmen en kwam er een onaangename, verbrand rubberluchtje omhoog. Toen zelfs Owen het achterin rook zijn we even gestopt. Motorklep open en tsja..waar moet je dan naar kijken? We keken elkaar vragend aan, besloten dat het er allemaal nog prima bij lag, wat adviezen van chatGTP gelezen en doorgereden. We gingen hier toch geen garage vinden terplekke.
Roel a.k.a. Magyver
Overigens ontpopt Roel zich hier als een ware Magyver, er zijn al wat dingen kapot gegaan die we creatief moesten oplossen zoals bijvoorbeeld het navigatiesysteem wat afbrak van zijn houder. Inmiddels is deze op een pot kauwgom vastgeplakt en zo past het precies in een ander houdertje (..en je kan zelfs nog bij de kauwgom ;D). Dus met het luchtje zal het vast ook goedkomen haha..
Keuzestress
De kids hadden een luisterboek en vielen daar ook lekker van in slaap. Het laatste stukje voordat we bij de camping aankwamen hadden we veel haarspeldbochten en mooie uitzichten. We waren blij toen we er eenmaal waren. Kleine discussie over waar we zouden staan. Op het gras? "Wel fijn maar volgens mij net gezaaid", Op het grind? "Tsja, valt Maddie weer telkens met haar fietsje en is modderig", Links? "Ziet er daar niet heel gezellig uit", Rechts? "We hebben dan geen wifi bereik meer"). Kortom, volledig onbelangrijke discussies en na paar keer heen en weer te zijn gereden en de aandacht van de camping te hebben getrokken hadden we ons plekje gevonden. Say haleluja!
Weer een paar dagen uitgeleefd op het strand (zandkastelen maken, visjes vangen en in ons eigen gemaakte pierenbadje loslaten) en het schattige dorpje Vieste bezocht. Roel nog even een goed stuk gefietst en ik nog even bij wat apparaten in een parkje losgegaan.
Maar waarom 'waarom'?
Ook voor Owen Squla gedownload zodat hij toch nog een beetje homeschooling krijgt. Niet zozeer omdat het moet maar meer om hem te blijven uitdagen. Hij is erg leergierig, veel bezig met Engelse taal en het woordje ‘waarom’ blijft zich constant herhalen. Zelfs als je al hebt uitgelegd ‘waarom’.
Ook voetbal heeft Owen zijn interesse gewonnen, dat vindt hij nu helemaal te gek. Gaat er ook helemaal in op. Zo ook het oude buurmannetje die wilde puzzelen maar Owen constant in het Italiaans zat aan te moedigen nog harder te schieten. Mooie fan.
"Mama, je bent een lieveheersbeestje"
We hadden een leuk stel ontmoet met een schattig babytje en we werden uitgenodigd een taartje te komen eten want Lotte werd 1. Echt een poppetje. Heerlijk taartjes gegeten en ook Tim (andere Nederlandse reiziger) was aangesloten. Leuk om weer even wat andere reizigers te spreken. Inmiddels allemaal ook al een lekker kleurtje opgelopen, hoewel Owen in mijn arm zat te prikken en zei: “kijk mama, als ik jou prik krijg je witte stipjes omdat je rood bent..je bent een lieveheersbeestje!” Die dag ook lekker wezen uiteten hoewel Roel wel veel moest inleveren van zijn Mixed Fish schotel aan Maddie..
We kunnen wel zeggen dat we hier echt tot rust zijn gekomen. Even niet bezig zijn met planning waar naar toe. De haarspeldbochten gaan we niet missen, want op de weg terug richting Bari moest Maddie overgeven. Sharon reed (want wagenziek) dus Roel als een octopus met 8 armen de kids verzorgen. Owen begon namelijk op dat moment ook te roepen dat hij moest overgeven..
Toch zien we wel veel verschillen met Noord en Zuid, dat verbaasde ons best wel. Qua rijkdom en ‘armoede’, qua natuur en of er rommel rondslingers of juist helemaal niet.
De route naar de haven van Bari was even opletten maar verliep best soepel, we hadden ons bereid op chaos gezien eerder gelezen recensies. Wat frietjes op de boot gegeten en varen maar naar ons volgende avontuur!
Bedankt Italië, waar we ook komen, we komen altijd thuis ❤
P.s. 1) voor degenen die het interessant vinden om te weten: we hebben in Italië gemiddeld per dag 113,- uitgegeven met zijn vieren. Dit is inclusief alles (diesel, campings, boodschappen, uiteten, activiteiten, impulsieve aankopen, de hele rambam!). Vantevoren bedacht dat het met 100,- ging lukken maar dat blijkt iets uit de hand te lopen. Dat halen we wel weer in…of niet :P.
P.s. 2) Superleuk die reacties die jullie achterlaten, vinden we heel leuk om te lezen. Dus blijf dat vooral lekker doen ;).
ONZE TIPS
Kinderen slapen er ook goed op blijkt.
- De Haba douche. Deze gouden tip heb ik via een vriendin en het is echt top! Na het strand de kids even afspoelen met je eigen Haba douchekop. De kids vinden het niks als ze zelf de douche niet kunnen beethouden (je ziet veel regendouches hier) dus vullen wij een emmer met warm water, douchebatterij erin en zo kan je zelf douchen.

Wat betreft rubberlucht (bij helling op): kan het zijn dat iets dan op een band drukt ? Kent een band slijtage ? Als dat het niet is, dan even kijken naar Roel zn schoenen, want al wat ik lees is dat hij zich het vuur uit de sloffen loopt. Of vrijwillig of om van alles op te vangen.
